Ingredients

  • 13 oz. canned refrigerated pizza dough
  • 6-7 mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water for egg wash
  • 3 tbsp. butter melted
  • 1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese divided
  • 1 tbsp. fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tbsp. fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 tbsp. fresh basil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 jar marinara and/or pesto for dipping

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 400°.
  2. While the oven heats, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Finely chop all of your fresh herbs. Grate the garlic clove.
  4. Open the pizza dough and cut it into 30 squares.
  5. Cut the mozzarella sticks into fifths and add a piece of the cheese stick to the middle of each of the squares.
  6. Seal up the sides and then roll the dough in your hands until they form a ball. Seal the edges if needed and set on the baking sheet, seam side down.
  7. Place each of the balls carefully so that they form the shape of a Christmas tree, each ball should be touching its neighbors.
  8. In a small bowl, blend the egg and water to create the egg wash. Brush over the dough balls.
  9. Bake for 16-18 minutes or until the tops are just turning golden-brown.
  10. Meanwhile, melt the butter in the microwave and stir in the parmesan cheese, garlic, and herbs.
  11. When you remove the rolls from the oven, brush the butter mixture over the top and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  12. Serve with a side of marinara or other dipping sauces of your choice.
